- For many years I taught school but when a tragic auto accident took my daughter's life I went to a very dark place. My son gave me a rescue dog,Brooklyn. What I didn't know was that Brooklyn would rescue me. Night after night Brooklyn licked my tears as I grieved. He stayed by my side until I came out of the darkness. I don't know where I would be without my beloved Brooklyn. He was my inspiration and the reason that I started a petsitting and dog walking business.
